This year’s SantaLand also features an expanded holiday art station where kids can create seasonal crafts, along with a fun holiday scavenger hunt. Proceeds from photos with Santa support local charities, so it’s a wonderful way to spread some holiday cheer! SantaLand opens on Friday, November 29, the day after Thanksgiving, and then opens from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Nov. 29 – Dec. 1, Dec. 6-8, Dec. 13-15, and Dec. 20-23.

–Light up the night with a festive river paddle!–
Bundle up and head down to the Deschutes River on December 13, from 4 to 7 p.m. for a unique Bend holiday experience: the annual Holiday Lights Paddle. Local paddleboarders and kayakers decorate their vessels with lights and holiday décor, creating a parade of glowing, floating festivity on the water. Spectators line the banks to watch this special display, which embodies Bend’s love of the outdoors—even in winter! This event is an extraordinary sight and a cherished local tradition.

The High Desert Museum comes alive this holiday season with its annual Winter Nights, where visitors can explore beautifully decorated exhibits, holiday lights, and special seasonal displays. Hanukkah is also celebrated here in Bend, and the Menorah Lighting in the Old Mill District is an annual favorite.
