The 37th Annual Salmon Run, one of Bend’s oldest and most cherished races. Embrace the spirit of the Pacific Northwest as you follow the path of the mighty salmon along the scenic Deschutes River. With race options including a Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K, there’s a distance for everyone to enjoy.
Run in or come out and support the Happy Girls Run in Bend OR. Support the women’s organization Saving Grace with running either the half marathon, 5k or the 10k run.
This 6-part race starts first at the top of Mt. Bachelor Red Chair where competitors will ski down LeeWay run on alpine skis then switch to Cross Country Skis and go for 8 km. Once completing that section they then bike for 22 miles leading into a 5-mile single-track run along the Deschutes River. The second to last thing is to then Canoe, Kayak, or Stand Up Paddleboard upstream 1/2 mile then downstream 3/4 mile to the last leg which is a 1/4 mile sprint to the finish!

Watch and receive breathtaking views of hot air balloons drifting across the skyline of the Cascade Mountains. Beginning Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at sunrise the balloons begin to launch and float. At night they return to the ground to make the area glow against the night sky.
Tackle the Haulin’ Aspen Trail Marathon, Half Marathon, and 6.5-mile “Half As” race. This all-trail event takes you through the breathtaking Deschutes National Forest, starting and finishing at Wanoga Sno-Park at an elevation of 5,500 feet.
